CarDia Newsletter

Dear Readers,

We are pleased to present the first issue of the CarDia National Institute Newsletter.

The aim of our newsletter is to keep you regularly informed about the activities and results of the CarDia project, which brings together leading experts and institutions to advance the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.

In this issue, you will find, for example:

the pancreatic islet transplantation program, now also available for cooperating international centers,

new insights into the treatment of diabetic foot and the results of the DFIATIM study,

a report from the Prague ICU School & Workshop 2025,

the launch of the PODI-Tech study on the impact of physical activity on patients,

a discovery by Czech scientists that changes the understanding of Fabry disease,

and outcomes from research teams presented at the international seminar in Valašské Klobouky.
