The CarDia project has reached a significant milestone in its development, which will be presented at the 28th Biochemical Congress organized by the Czech Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ČSBMB), held in Prague from 7 to 10 September 2025.
As part of the scientific program, a dedicated session will be focused on the project’s results. This session, titled “CarDia Track: Membranes, Bioenergetics,” will take place on Monday, 8 September from 9:00 to 10:30. It is organized by MUDr. Jan Kopecký, DrSc., from the Institute of Physiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and coordinator of the Metabolism research area within the CarDia project.
The session will provide an overview of the latest findings in bioenergetic processes relevant to the cardiovascular system and its diseases, with a particular focus on molecular mechanisms in muscle and adipose tissues, which are crucial for the regulation of energy metabolism and metabolic flexibility.
A total of five speakers from the CarDia research team will present during the session, and several additional contributors will present their results in the form of poster communications.
Presenting at this prestigious biochemistry congress will significantly enhance the visibility of the CarDia project both within the Czech scientific community and internationally. It will also foster professional dialogue, open up opportunities for potential collaborations, and support the further development of research aimed at the prevention and treatment of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.
For those interested in more details, the official program is available on the ČSBMB website, where a complete overview of sessions and topics can be found.
Overall, CarDia’s participation in the congress represents an important step in disseminating its scientific achievements, encouraging their critical reflection and practical application, and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of energy metabolism regulation.
