From September 18 to 20, 2024, the prestigious international conference ICDAR (International Cardiovascular Development, Anatomy and Regeneration Meeting) took place in the center of Prague. It was organized in cooperation with the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University, a long-term partner of the CarDia project.
The meeting was held at the Institute of Anatomy and offered a unique program connecting clinical practice with the latest research in cardiovascular development and regeneration. The conference began with a hands-on workshop focused on normal and congenitally malformed human hearts. This was followed by oral presentations by leading scientists, evening poster sessions selected from submitted abstracts, lectures by international speakers, and numerous opportunities for expert discussion and networking. The program culminated in a gala dinner held in the historic Carolinum.
The meeting was conceptually linked to the recently published ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Development
(Editors: José María Pérez-Pomares and Robert Kelly).
The conference was held under the auspices of Prof. MUDr. Martin Vokurka, CSc., Dean of the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University.
The next ICDAR meeting will take place from October 15 to 17, 2025, in Granada.
