At this year’s largest diabetology congress in the Czech Republic – Diabetology Days in Luhačovice, held from April 9 to 12 – significant scientific contributions from colleagues at the IKEM Diabetes Center were recognized. Out of the three awards given for the best publications, they received two.

Dr. Barbora Hager was awarded the prize for the Best Original Publication for her study "Accuracy and Feasibility of Real-time Continuous Glucose Monitoring in Critically Ill Patients After Abdominal Surgery and Solid Organ Transplantation," published in the prestigious journal Diabetes Care.

Dr. Robert Bém received the award for the Best Monograph for his book New Technologies in Diabetology.

These achievements were made possible also thanks to the substantial support of the National Institute for Research on Metabolic and Cardiovascular Diseases (CarDia).
